竇群與中唐御史官文學群體

唐人選(xuan)唐詩選(xuan)本中,《竇氏聯珠集(ji)》較為特別(bie)。《竇氏聯珠集(ji)》收錄竇常(chang)、竇牟、竇群、竇庠、竇鞏五兄弟(di)詩作,是家族文(wen)學(xue)文(wen)本的(de)(de)唯一遺存。竇氏兄弟(di)當中,竇群講禮儀而尊孝(xiao)道,以承續竇氏孝(xiao)道家風著(zhu)稱,又官(guan)位最顯,對中唐政(zheng)事、文(wen)學(xue)活動所發揮的(de)(de)作用尤著(zhu)。
竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)與中(zhong)唐(tang)文(wen)人群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)體(ti)的關系較為復雜(za)。自“永貞革新”起,竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)與中(zhong)唐(tang)文(wen)士糾葛(ge)不(bu)斷。據《舊唐(tang)書·竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)傳(chuan)》所(suo)記載(zai),竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)與劉(liu)禹(yu)錫(xi)、柳宗元(yuan)俱入王叔文(wen)集(ji)團(tuan)(tuan),因(yin)“群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)不(bu)附之”,劉(liu)、柳與竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)不(bu)協,竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)并(bing)不(bu)依附之,于是要將竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)貶(bian)出,被韋執(zhi)誼制(zhi)止。同一集(ji)團(tuan)(tuan)內因(yin)觀念不(bu)同而產(chan)生分歧,竇群(qun)(qun)(qun)(qun)漸(jian)被疏遠(yuan)。此事又(you)與武元(yuan)衡有(you)關系,據《舊唐(tang)書·劉(liu)禹(yu)錫(xi)傳(chuan)》:
貞元末,王(wang)叔(shu)文(wen)(wen)于東宮(gong)用事,后(hou)輩(bei)務進,多(duo)附麗之,禹(yu)錫(xi)尤(you)為叔(shu)文(wen)(wen)知獎,以(yi)宰相器待之。順宗即(ji)位(wei),久疾不(bu)任政事,禁中文(wen)(wen)誥,皆出于叔(shu)文(wen)(wen),引禹(yu)錫(xi)及柳宗元入禁中,與(yu)之圖議,言(yan)無不(bu)從。轉屯田員外(wai)郎(lang)、判度支(zhi)鹽鐵案,兼崇陵使(shi)判官。頗(po)怙(hu)威權,中傷端(duan)士(shi)。宗元素不(bu)悅武(wu)元衡(heng),時武(wu)元衡(heng)為御史(shi)中丞,乃左授右庶(shu)子。侍御史(shi)竇群奏(zou)禹(yu)錫(xi)挾(xie)邪亂政,不(bu)宜(yi)在(zai)朝,群即(ji)日罷官。韓皋憑藉貴門(men),不(bu)附叔(shu)文(wen)(wen)黨,出為湖南(nan)觀察(cha)使(shi)。既任喜(xi)怒凌人(ren),京(jing)師人(ren)士(shi)不(bu)敢指名,道路以(yi)目,時號“二(er)王(wang)、劉、柳。”
武(wu)元(yuan)(yuan)衡、竇(dou)群(qun)均(jun)為(wei)(wei)御(yu)史官,且有(you)(you)上下級(ji)的(de)(de)關系。劉禹錫(xi)、柳宗元(yuan)(yuan)追求速進,故而與武(wu)元(yuan)(yuan)衡發生(sheng)沖突,竇(dou)群(qun)卷入(ru)(ru)其中(zhong)(zhong)。時(shi)過境(jing)遷(qian),元(yuan)(yuan)和(he)八年(813),劉禹錫(xi)與竇(dou)群(qun)還有(you)(you)交往(wang),劉禹錫(xi)集中(zhong)(zhong)有(you)(you)詩《和(he)竇(dou)中(zhong)(zhong)丞晚入(ru)(ru)容(rong)江作(zuo)(zuo)》:“漢郡三十六(liu),郁林東南(nan)遙(yao)。人(ren)倫選清(qing)臣,天(tian)外頒詔(zhao)條。桂水步秋浪(lang),火(huo)山凌霧(wu)朝。分圻辨風物(wu),入(ru)(ru)境(jing)聞謳謠。莎岸見長亭(ting),煙(yan)林隔麗譙。日落(luo)舟益駛,川(chuan)平旗(qi)自飄。珠浦遠明滅(mie),金沙晴動(dong)搖。一吟(yin)道(dao)中(zhong)(zhong)作(zuo)(zuo),離思懸層霄。”劉禹錫(xi)不僅有(you)(you)《答容(rong)州竇(dou)中(zhong)(zhong)丞書》,又代(dai)竇(dou)群(qun)作(zuo)(zuo)《為(wei)(wei)容(rong)州竇(dou)中(zhong)(zhong)丞謝上表》。柳宗元(yuan)(yuan)僅有(you)(you)《韋侍郎賀(he)布(bu)衣竇(dou)群(qun)除右拾遺(yi)表》,乃是(shi)代(dai)韋夏(xia)卿所作(zuo)(zuo),竇(dou)群(qun)進入(ru)(ru)仕途正因得到韋夏(xia)卿的(de)(de)賞(shang)識。竇(dou)群(qun)的(de)(de)御(yu)史官身份使(shi)得他被列入(ru)(ru)御(yu)史官文(wen)(wen)學群(qun)體之中(zhong)(zhong)。御(yu)史官多以經史之學為(wei)(wei)背景(jing),以激濁揚清(qing)為(wei)(wei)己任,職事活(huo)動(dong)與文(wen)(wen)學活(huo)動(dong)構成兩個世(shi)界:職事活(huo)動(dong)則守道(dao)憂民,敢于諫諍彈奏;文(wen)(wen)學活(huo)動(dong)則唱酬(chou)往(wang)來(lai),富有(you)(you)生(sheng)活(huo)意趣。
御史官文學群(qun)體以武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)為(wei)首。竇群(qun)與(yu)武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)同(tong)在御史臺(tai)任職,武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)是(shi)(shi)他的(de)(de)上(shang)司。兩(liang)人(ren)有(you)(you)兩(liang)組(zu)(zu)(zu)唱(chang)酬(chou)(chou)之(zhi)(zhi)作。元(yuan)和(he)(he)六年(811),武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)有(you)(you)《晨(chen)(chen)興贈友寄呈竇使君》,詩(shi)(shi)云(yun)(yun):“江陵歲方晏,晨(chen)(chen)起眄庭柯。白(bai)露(lu)傷(shang)紅葉,清飚斷綠蘿。徇時真氣(qi)索,念遠(yuan)幽懷多。宿昔東山意,縱橫南浦波。有(you)(you)美嬋娟(juan)子,百(bai)(bai)慮攢雙蛾。緘情郁不舒,絲竹自駢羅。為(wei)子歌(ge)苦寒,旨(zhi)酒朱顏酡。鬒發倏云(yun)(yun)變,功名將奈何。”竇群(qun)有(you)(you)酬(chou)(chou)和(he)(he)之(zhi)(zhi)作,即(ji)《奉酬(chou)(chou)西川武(wu)(wu)(wu)相公(gong)晨(chen)(chen)興見示之(zhi)(zhi)作》,詩(shi)(shi)中敘述與(yu)武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)之(zhi)(zhi)情誼,以景見情,復有(you)(you)議論(lun),當在武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)之(zhi)(zhi)上(shang)。竇群(qun)與(yu)武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)唱(chang)和(he)(he)的(de)(de)第二組(zu)(zu)(zu)詩(shi)(shi)比較特別,詩(shi)(shi)題(ti)較長,詩(shi)(shi)僅五言(yan)四(si)韻。竇群(qun)原詩(shi)(shi)題(ti)目(mu)為(wei)《貞元(yuan)末東院嘗接事(shi)今西川武(wu)(wu)(wu)相公(gong)于茲三周謬領(ling)中憲徘徊廳宇多獲文篇(pian)夏日即(ji)事(shi)因繼四(si)韻》,此詩(shi)(shi)乃是(shi)(shi)與(yu)武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)敘舊(jiu),詩(shi)(shi)云(yun)(yun):“重軒深似谷,列柏鎮含(han)煙。境絕蒼蠅到,風生(sheng)白(bai)雪(xue)(xue)前。彈冠驚跡近,專席感恩偏。霄(xiao)漢朝來下(xia),油幢路幾千。”武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)酬(chou)(chou)答詩(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)題(ti)目(mu)為(wei)《竇三中去(qu)歲有(you)(you)臺(tai)中五言(yan)四(si)韻之(zhi)(zhi)什未及酬(chou)(chou)答承(cheng)領(ling)鎮黔南途經蜀門(men)百(bai)(bai)里而近愿言(yan)款覿封略間之(zhi)(zhi)因追(zhui)酬(chou)(chou)曩(nang)篇(pian)持以為(wei)贈》,詩(shi)(shi)云(yun)(yun):“在昔謬司憲,常僚(liao)(liao)唯有(you)(you)君。報(bao)恩如皎日,致位等青(qing)云(yun)(yun)。削(xue)稿書難見,除(chu)苛事(shi)早吟。雙旌不可(ke)駐,風雪(xue)(xue)路岐分(fen)。”兩(liang)組(zu)(zu)(zu)詩(shi)(shi)作從追(zhui)憶的(de)(de)視角寫舊(jiu)情新(xin)誼,足見竇群(qun)與(yu)武(wu)(wu)(wu)元(yuan)衡(heng)(heng)(heng)的(de)(de)交誼遠(yuan)超“忝列同(tong)僚(liao)(liao)”之(zhi)(zhi)范圍。
元和(he)時期,竇(dou)群(qun)(qun)與呂(lv)溫(wen)、羊(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤因(yin)有身份交(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)集而相交(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)日(ri)深。《舊唐(tang)書·竇(dou)群(qun)(qun)傳(chuan)(chuan)》:“憲宗(zong)即位,轉膳部員外(wai),兼侍御(yu)史知雜,出為(wei)唐(tang)州刺史。節度使于(yu)頔素(su)聞(wen)其名,既謁(ye)見(jian),群(qun)(qun)危言激切,頔甚悅(yue)。奏留充山南東道節度副使、檢校兵(bing)部郎(lang)中、兼御(yu)史中丞,賜紫金魚袋。宰相武元衡、李吉(ji)甫(fu)皆愛重之(zhi),召(zhao)(zhao)入為(wei)吏部郎(lang)中。元衡輔政(zheng),舉群(qun)(qun)代(dai)己為(wei)中丞。群(qun)(qun)奏刑部郎(lang)中呂(lv)溫(wen)、羊(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤為(wei)御(yu)史,吉(ji)甫(fu)以(yi)羊(yang)、呂(lv)險(xian)躁,持之(zhi)數日(ri)不下,群(qun)(qun)等(deng)怒怨(yuan)吉(ji)甫(fu)。三(san)年八月,吉(ji)甫(fu)罷相,出鎮淮南,群(qun)(qun)等(deng)欲因(yin)失恩(en)傾之(zhi)。吉(ji)甫(fu)嘗(chang)召(zhao)(zhao)術(shu)士(shi)(shi)(shi)陳登(deng)宿于(yu)安邑里第,翌日(ri),群(qun)(qun)令吏捕登(deng)考劾(he),偽構吉(ji)甫(fu)陰事(shi),密以(yi)上聞(wen)。帝召(zhao)(zhao)登(deng)面(mian)訊之(zhi),立辯其偽。憲宗(zong)怒,將誅群(qun)(qun)等(deng),吉(ji)甫(fu)救之(zhi),出為(wei)湖南觀(guan)察使。”《舊唐(tang)書·呂(lv)溫(wen)傳(chuan)(chuan)》亦有記(ji)載,主要(yao)敘述呂(lv)溫(wen)為(wei)柳宗(zong)元、劉禹(yu)錫(xi)所稱賞,又與竇(dou)群(qun)(qun)、羊(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤“趣尚相狎”,竇(dou)群(qun)(qun)得李吉(ji)甫(fu)的提攜反而恩(en)將仇報(bao),呂(lv)溫(wen)“奏劾(he)吉(ji)甫(fu)交(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)通術(shu)士(shi)(shi)(shi)”,結果(guo)“其事(shi)皆虛”,導致呂(lv)溫(wen)、竇(dou)群(qun)(qun)、羊(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤均被(bei)貶出。呂(lv)溫(wen)、竇(dou)群(qun)(qun)、羊(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤諸人是御(yu)史官組成的一個政(zheng)治群(qun)(qun)體,復因(yin)交(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)誼(yi)日(ri)深而形成文學唱和(he)群(qun)(qun)體。
這一御(yu)史(shi)官(guan)文學(xue)群體以創作唱和(he)詩(shi)(shi)(shi)為(wei)主。竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群與(yu)羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)唱酬(chou)往來(lai)詩(shi)(shi)(shi)作甚(shen)多。羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)于(yu)元(yuan)和(he)三(san)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(808)所作《竇(dou)(dou)(dou)府君(jun)(jun)(叔(shu)向)神道碑(bei)》,乃是(shi)因竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群之(zhi)請而作。據(ju)陶敏《羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)生平及詩(shi)(shi)(shi)文系年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)》,竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群與(yu)羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)定交在(zai)貞元(yuan)三(san)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(787),本年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)在(zai)常(chang)(chang)州為(wei)官(guan),竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群居(ju)于(yu)常(chang)(chang)州以著書。元(yuan)和(he)元(yuan)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(806),竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群有(you)(you)《雪(xue)中(zhong)寓(yu)直(zhi)》一詩(shi)(shi)(shi),云(yun):“寒光凝雪(xue)彩(cai)(cai),限(xian)直(zhi)居(ju)粉(fen)闈。恍疑白(bai)云(yun)上,乍覺金印非(fei)。樹色靄虛(xu)空,琴聲(sheng)諧素徽。明晨阻(zu)通籍(ji)(ji),獨臥掛朝衣。”羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)和(he)之(zhi),即《和(he)竇(dou)(dou)(dou)吏(li)部(bu)雪(xue)中(zhong)寓(yu)直(zhi)》,云(yun):“瑞(rui)花飄(piao)朔雪(xue),灝(hao)氣(qi)滿(man)南(nan)(nan)宮。迢遞(di)層城掩,徘徊午夜(ye)中(zhong)。金閨(gui)通籍(ji)(ji)恨(hen),銀燭直(zhi)廬空。誰(shui)問(wen)烏臺(tai)客(ke),家山憶桂(gui)叢。”烏臺(tai)即御(yu)史(shi)臺(tai),羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)元(yuan)和(he)元(yuan)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)拜監察御(yu)史(shi),從唱和(he)中(zhong)可(ke)知兩人(ren)仕(shi)宦之(zhi)重合點。羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)與(yu)竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群的(de)唱酬(chou)之(zhi)作往往從日(ri)常(chang)(chang)生活(huo)取(qu)材,偶(ou)有(you)(you)所思(si)便成詩(shi)(shi)(shi),一寄(ji)一酬(chou)中(zhong)見彼(bi)此情(qing)懷(huai)。元(yuan)和(he)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(807),羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)有(you)(you)《小(xiao)園春至(zhi)偶(ou)呈(cheng)吏(li)部(bu)竇(dou)(dou)(dou)郎(lang)(lang)中(zhong)》:“松筱(xiao)雖(sui)苦節(jie),冰霜慘(can)其間。欣然發佳色,如喜東風還(huan)。幽(you)抱(bao)想前(qian)躅,冥鴻度南(nan)(nan)山。春臺(tai)一以眺,達(da)士(shi)(shi)(shi)亦解顏。偃(yan)(yan)息非(fei)老(lao)圃,沉吟(yin)悶玄關。馳暉忽復(fu)失,壯氣(qi)不(bu)得閑。君(jun)(jun)子(zi)當濟(ji)物,丹梯誰(shui)共攀。心(xin)期(qi)自有(you)(you)約,去掃(sao)蒼苔斑。”這是(shi)以眼前(qian)景主動與(yu)竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群對話的(de)作品(pin)。竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群“直(zhi)夜(ye)”有(you)(you)感就(jiu)把自己的(de)詩(shi)(shi)(shi)作寄(ji)給羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e),羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)則(ze)有(you)(you)《酬(chou)吏(li)部(bu)竇(dou)(dou)(dou)郎(lang)(lang)中(zhong)直(zhi)夜(ye)見寄(ji)》酬(chou)之(zhi),詩(shi)(shi)(shi)云(yun):“解巾侍云(yun)陛,三(san)命早為(wei)郎(lang)(lang)。復(fu)以雕(diao)龍(long)(long)彩(cai)(cai),旋(xuan)歸振鷺行。玉書期(qi)養素,金印已懷(huai)黃。茲夕南(nan)(nan)宮詠(yong),遐情(qing)愧(kui)不(bu)忘(wang)。”元(yuan)和(he)六年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(811),羊(yang)(yang)(yang)士(shi)(shi)(shi)諤(e)(e)還(huan)有(you)(you)《寄(ji)黔府竇(dou)(dou)(dou)中(zhong)丞》,詩(shi)(shi)(shi)作可(ke)謂雕(diao)琢滿(man)眼,云(yun):“漢臣旌節(jie)貴(gui),萬里(li)護牂牁。夏月(yue)天(tian)無暑,秋風水不(bu)波。朝衣蟠艾綬,戎(rong)幕偃(yan)(yan)雕(diao)戈。滿(man)歲歸龍(long)(long)闕,良(liang)哉(zai)佇(zhu)作歌。”竇(dou)(dou)(dou)群常(chang)(chang)常(chang)(chang)從季節(jie)變換(huan)中(zhong)取(qu)材,以情(qing)境寫人(ren),如《雨(yu)后(hou)月(yue)夜(ye)寄(ji)懷(huai)羊(yang)(yang)(yang)二(er)十七資州》:“夕霽涼飆至(zhi),翛然心(xin)賞諧。清光松上月(yue),虛(xu)白(bai)郡中(zhong)齋。置酒平生在(zai),開衿愿見乖(guai)。殷勤寄(ji)雙鯉,夢想入(ru)君(jun)(jun)懷(huai)。”無論(lun)是(shi)“冬(dong)日(ri)曉思(si)”還(huan)是(shi)“雨(yu)后(hou)月(yue)夜(ye)”,無論(lun)是(shi)正在(zai)值(zhi)夜(ye)還(huan)是(shi)身在(zai)戎(rong)幕,二(er)人(ren)詩(shi)(shi)(shi)作融入(ru)日(ri)常(chang)(chang)生活(huo),擷取(qu)片段中(zhong)都蘊含著穿透文字背(bei)后(hou)的(de)醇厚情(qing)思(si)。
竇群(qun)(qun)與呂溫(wen)均受(shou)啖、趙學派之影響。據(ju)劉禹錫《唐(tang)故衡州刺史(shi)呂君(jun)集紀》所述,呂溫(wen)師(shi)從(cong)(cong)其父呂渭(wei)學《詩》《禮》,師(shi)從(cong)(cong)陸(lu)質(zhi)學《春(chun)(chun)秋(qiu)》,師(shi)從(cong)(cong)梁(liang)肅(su)學文(wen)章。又《舊唐(tang)書(shu)·竇群(qun)(qun)傳》:“群(qun)(qun)兄常、牟,弟鞏,皆登(deng)進(jin)士第,唯群(qun)(qun)獨(du)為處(chu)士,隱居毗(pi)陵(ling),以(yi)節操(cao)聞(wen)。及母卒,嚙一(yi)指置(zhi)棺中,因廬(lu)墓次終喪。后學《春(chun)(chun)秋(qiu)》于(yu)啖助(zhu)之門人盧(lu)(lu)庇者(zhe),著(zhu)書(shu)三十(shi)(shi)四(si)卷,號《史(shi)記(ji)名臣(chen)疏》。”據(ju)《新唐(tang)書(shu)·竇群(qun)(qun)傳》:“從(cong)(cong)盧(lu)(lu)庇傳啖助(zhu)《春(chun)(chun)秋(qiu)》學,著(zhu)書(shu)數十(shi)(shi)篇。”可見竇群(qun)(qun)讀書(shu)側重經、史(shi)。竇群(qun)(qun)有節操(cao),講孝(xiao)道(dao),苦(ku)讀書(shu),這些正是(shi)竇氏(shi)家族家學門風的基本內涵。
竇群與(yu)呂溫(wen)(wen)唱(chang)和交往(wang)的(de)詩作不多,僅存呂溫(wen)(wen)《二月(yue)一日(ri)是貞元(yuan)舊節(jie)有感絕句(ju)寄黔南(nan)竇三》,乃是中(zhong)和節(jie)寄贈之(zhi)作,詩中(zhong)有“今朝(chao)各自看花處(chu),萬(wan)里遙知(zhi)掩淚時”之(zhi)句(ju),念及(ji)舊日(ri)同(tong)事相處(chu)之(zhi)時光(guang),嘆惜彼此相見(jian)無期,以表達思念之(zhi)情。
概而(er)言(yan)之(zhi),御史臺(tai)官員的文(wen)學(xue)(xue)化是貞元、元和時期一個(ge)值得注意的現象。竇群、武元衡、羊士諤(e)、呂溫等(deng)人(ren)形成(cheng)了一個(ge)以御史臺(tai)為中(zhong)心的文(wen)儒群體,成(cheng)員多有(you)唱(chang)酬往來,詩作內容側重于朝事活(huo)動,亦寫日常(chang)生活(huo)。此點學(xue)(xue)界少有(you)關注,故撰(zhuan)文(wen)述及之(zhi)。
