  中國邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)應高度重視跨(kua)學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)(ke)理(li)(li)論(lun)方(fang)法與(yu)中外(wai)比(bi)(bi)較視野(ye)的(de)運用(yong)。“中國邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)作(zuo)(zuo)為(wei)一(yi)個特(te)(te)殊(shu)的(de)領(ling)域,它(ta)的(de)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)內涵既包括歷史和(he)現(xian)狀(zhuang),又涉及政治(zhi)、經濟、軍事、民(min)族、宗教(jiao)、國際法、生態環境(jing)等諸(zhu)多方(fang)面。因此(ci),要深(shen)化對(dui)中國邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)歷史與(yu)現(xian)狀(zhuang)的(de)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu),必須組織跨(kua)學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)(ke)的(de)力量,進行聯(lian)合攻關。”特(te)(te)別是(shi)在邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)治(zhi)理(li)(li)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)領(ling)域,引入跨(kua)學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)(ke)的(de)理(li)(li)論(lun)方(fang)法進行邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)已成大勢所趨,全方(fang)位、多層次地開展(zhan)中外(wai)邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)治(zhi)理(li)(li)比(bi)(bi)較研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)是(shi)推動中國邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)治(zhi)理(li)(li)深(shen)化的(de)重要路徑。此(ci)外(wai),作(zuo)(zuo)者還通過歷史學(xue)(xue)(xue)、戰(zhan)(zhan)略學(xue)(xue)(xue)、管理(li)(li)學(xue)(xue)(xue)、地緣政治(zhi)學(xue)(xue)(xue)、民(min)族學(xue)(xue)(xue)等多學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)(ke)和(he)跨(kua)學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)(ke)理(li)(li)論(lun)方(fang)法及中外(wai)比(bi)(bi)較視野(ye)的(de)運用(yong),對(dui)當代中國邊(bian)(bian)疆(jiang)治(zhi)理(li)(li)大戰(zhan)(zhan)略進行了(le)深(shen)入研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu),并提出了(le)一(yi)系列富有前瞻性的(de)戰(zhan)(zhan)略思考與(yu)認(ren)識。

  中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)研究(jiu)還(huan)應(ying)重視“學(xue)術(shu)(shu)研究(jiu)與學(xue)術(shu)(shu)普及相結合(he)”。用(yong)馬大(da)(da)正的(de)話說,就是(shi)(shi)學(xue)術(shu)(shu)研究(jiu)不僅要(yao)有“陽春白雪”,還(huan)要(yao)有“下里巴人(ren)(ren)”。“加大(da)(da)普及邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)知識和宣傳大(da)(da)美(mei)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)的(de)力度(du),讓(rang)國(guo)(guo)人(ren)(ren)關(guan)心邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)、認識邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)、熱愛邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang),讓(rang)學(xue)術(shu)(shu)走(zou)向大(da)(da)眾(zhong)(zhong),讓(rang)大(da)(da)眾(zhong)(zhong)了(le)解學(xue)術(shu)(shu)。這里的(de)大(da)(da)眾(zhong)(zhong)不光是(shi)(shi)指千百(bai)萬普通百(bai)姓(xing),還(huan)應(ying)包(bao)括涉邊(bian)事務(wu)的(de)管理者(zhe)和決策者(zhe)。”《中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)學(xue)八題》本身就是(shi)(shi)躬行實踐(jian)“讓(rang)學(xue)術(shu)(shu)走(zou)向大(da)(da)眾(zhong)(zhong),讓(rang)大(da)(da)眾(zhong)(zhong)了(le)解學(xue)術(shu)(shu)”的(de)典范(fan),不僅具(ju)有學(xue)術(shu)(shu)的(de)嚴謹性(xing)、思想(xiang)性(xing)、理論性(xing),還(huan)具(ju)有“深入(ru)淺出”,可(ke)讀性(xing)、普及性(xing)強等特(te)點(dian),值得學(xue)界學(xue)人(ren)(ren)借鑒(jian)、適合(he)社會大(da)(da)眾(zhong)(zhong)閱讀。

  此外,他(ta)還就中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)的(de)(de)前(qian)沿問題提出一(yi)(yi)系(xi)列創見,在推動構(gou)建(jian)中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)話語體系(xi)、理論體系(xi)上也(ye)具有(you)(you)較(jiao)為重要(yao)的(de)(de)作用。譬如,他(ta)對“大一(yi)(yi)統”文化的(de)(de)深(shen)刻認(ren)識,對中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)概(gai)念(nian)的(de)(de)界定與闡釋,對中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)地區發展大勢(shi)與演進(jin)特點的(de)(de)認(ren)識,等(deng)等(deng)。這(zhe)些(xie)認(ren)識對我們更深(shen)入、全面地了解邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)、認(ren)識邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)、研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang)、建(jian)設邊(bian)疆(jiang)(jiang),也(ye)都有(you)(you)著重要(yao)學術價值和現實意(yi)義。
