天水武山老君山與老子西行考

老子作(zuo)為道家(jia)學派(pai)的創始(shi)人和(he)主要代(dai)表人物(wu),被(bei)道家(jia)尊為道教始(shi)祖,其影(ying)響力非常大(da),而關(guan)于(yu)老子西行的去向(xiang)則是(shi)充滿(man)了神秘的色彩,可謂是(shi)眾說紛紜。根據相關(guan)典籍記(ji)載和(he)以武山老君(jun)山等地(di)(di)理地(di)(di)名的考(kao)證,可知老子西行游于(yu)秦地(di)(di),也就是(shi)今天(tian)的甘肅天(tian)水一帶。
《史(shi)記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)·老(lao)子(zi)傳》載(zai):“老(lao)子(zi)者,楚苦縣厲(li)鄉曲仁里人(ren)也,姓李氏,名耳,字(zi)聃(dan),周(zhou)守藏(zang)室之(zhi)史(shi)也。”“老(lao)子(zi)修道德(de),其(qi)學以(yi)(yi)自隱無名為(wei)(wei)(wei)務。居(ju)周(zhou)久之(zhi),見周(zhou)之(zhi)衰,乃(nai)遂(sui)去(qu)(qu)。至關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan),關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)令(ling)尹(yin)喜曰(yue):‘子(zi)將隱矣,強(qiang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)我著書(shu)(shu)(shu)。’于(yu)是老(lao)子(zi)乃(nai)著書(shu)(shu)(shu)上下(xia)(xia)篇,言(yan)道德(de)之(zhi)意五千言(yan)而去(qu)(qu),莫知(zhi)其(qi)所終。”從(cong)(cong)《史(shi)記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)》記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)載(zai)可知(zhi)老(lao)子(zi)是春(chun)秋時(shi)(shi)期楚國(今河南鹿邑縣東(dong))人(ren),因不(bu)滿周(zhou)朝的(de)(de)腐(fu)敗(bai)而辭(ci)官歸(gui)隱,在(zai)西(xi)(xi)行(xing)經(jing)函谷關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)時(shi)(shi)遇到關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)令(ling)尹(yin)喜,在(zai)其(qi)要求下(xia)(xia)寫了五千字(zi)的(de)(de)《道德(de)經(jing)》上下(xia)(xia)篇,后不(bu)知(zhi)去(qu)(qu)向(xiang)。關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)于(yu)不(bu)知(zhi)去(qu)(qu)向(xiang)這一說法后人(ren)多持懷(huai)疑(yi)態度,《莊(zhuang)子(zi)》《列(lie)子(zi)》等先(xian)秦(qin)(qin)典籍中皆有老(lao)子(zi)西(xi)(xi)游于(yu)秦(qin)(qin)的(de)(de)記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)載(zai)。《莊(zhuang)子(zi)·寓言(yan)》稱(cheng):“陽子(zi)居(ju)南之(zhi)沛,老(lao)聃(dan)西(xi)(xi)游于(yu)秦(qin)(qin)。”《史(shi)記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)》正文末(mo)《索隱述(shu)贊》云稱(cheng):“伯陽立教(jiao),清凈無為(wei)(wei)(wei)。道尊東(dong)魯,跡竄西(xi)(xi)垂(chui)。”秦(qin)(qin)和西(xi)(xi)陲都是春(chun)秋戰國時(shi)(shi)期對以(yi)(yi)今天(tian)水為(wei)(wei)(wei)中心的(de)(de)甘(gan)(gan)肅東(dong)部地區的(de)(de)稱(cheng)謂(wei)。《漢(han)(han)書(shu)(shu)(shu)·藝文志》載(zai):“名喜,為(wei)(wei)(wei)關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)吏。老(lao)子(zi)過(guo)關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan),喜去(qu)(qu)吏而從(cong)(cong)之(zhi)。”據(ju)道家經(jing)藏(zang)《仙(xian)佛(fo)奇蹤》《甘(gan)(gan)肅新(xin)通志》《秦(qin)(qin)州直隸州新(xin)志》等記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)載(zai),尹(yin)喜為(wei)(wei)(wei)甘(gan)(gan)肅天(tian)水人(ren)。《后漢(han)(han)書(shu)(shu)(shu)》載(zai):“或言(yan),老(lao)子(zi)入夷狄(di)為(wei)(wei)(wei)浮屠。”漢(han)(han)代劉向(xiang)的(de)(de)《列(lie)仙(xian)傳》是這樣記(ji)(ji)(ji)(ji)述(shu)的(de)(de):“關(guan)(guan)(guan)(guan)令(ling)尹(yin)喜者,周(zhou)大夫也。善內學,常服精華,隱德(de)修行(xing),時(shi)(shi)人(ren)莫知(zhi)……后與老(lao)子(zi)俱游流沙,化胡,服苣勝(sheng)實,莫知(zhi)其(qi)所終。”夷狄(di)和流沙泛指(zhi)今甘(gan)(gan)肅河西(xi)(xi)地區,由此可知(zhi),尹(yin)喜辭(ci)官后隨老(lao)子(zi)沿渭水而行(xing),途經(jing)今甘(gan)(gan)肅天(tian)水地區。
天水(shui)(shui)許多地(di)(di)(di)理地(di)(di)(di)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)的(de)(de)(de)(de)形成和老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)西(xi)行(xing)關系密切。隴(long)上名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)山(shan)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山(shan)距武山(shan)縣城南約5華里處,自古(gu)享有“君(jun)(jun)山(shan)獨秀(xiu)(xiu),俯瞰(kan)渭(wei)水(shui)(shui)”之(zhi)美譽,“君(jun)(jun)山(shan)碧障”為(wei)古(gu)寧(ning)遠(yuan)八景(jing)之(zhi)一。風(feng)光秀(xiu)(xiu)麗(li)的(de)(de)(de)(de)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山(shan)有太清(qing)勝景(jing)、石峽飛瀑、朝陽(yang)(yang)(yang)古(gu)洞、棋(qi)盤(pan)(pan)仙跡(ji)、雞冠(guan)(guan)疊(die)翠、鍋(guo)底煙云(yun)、幽谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)神泉、瞭臺(tai)(tai)瞰(kan)渭(wei)等君(jun)(jun)山(shan)八景(jing)。民間(jian)有“君(jun)(jun)山(shan)綠(lv),衣食足;君(jun)(jun)山(shan)禿,萬家哭”之(zhi)說(shuo)。老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山(shan)相傳是(shi)道(dao)(dao)教祖(zu)師老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)西(xi)行(xing)修(xiu)道(dao)(dao)之(zhi)地(di)(di)(di),故(gu)(gu)(gu)以老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)之(zhi)。今(jin)武山(shan)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山(shan)主峰謂(wei)(wei)之(zhi)“伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)”峰,“青(qing)牛”嶺(ling)、“伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)”洞、“煉丹”臺(tai)(tai)、“棋(qi)盤(pan)(pan)臺(tai)(tai)”等景(jing)點皆以老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)行(xing)跡(ji)命名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming),康熙《寧(ning)遠(yuan)志(zhi)·古(gu)跡(ji)》載:“棋(qi)盤(pan)(pan)臺(tai)(tai),在(zai)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山(shan)。相傳為(wei)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)、尹喜(xi)對弈處。”西(xi)漢劉(liu)向《列仙傳》云(yun):“老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)姓(xing)李,名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)耳,字伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang),陳人也。”又南朝梁劉(liu)勰《文(wen)心(xin)(xin)雕(diao)龍·諸(zhu)子(zi)(zi)篇》云(yun):“伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)識禮,而(er)仲尼訪問,爰序道(dao)(dao)德,以冠(guan)(guan)百氏。”可(ke)知“伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)”因(yin)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)字而(er)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)。《水(shui)(shui)經(jing)(jing)注(zhu)(zhu)·渭(wei)水(shui)(shui)》記(ji)載:“(渭(wei)水(shui)(shui))又東經(jing)(jing)上邽(今(jin)天水(shui)(shui))城南……渭(wei)水(shui)(shui)又東,伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)水(shui)(shui)入(ru)(ru)焉。水(shui)(shui)出刑馬(ma)山(shan)之(zhi)伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu),北(bei)流(liu),白水(shui)(shui)出東南白水(shui)(shui)溪,西(xi)北(bei)注(zhu)(zhu)伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)水(shui)(shui)。伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)水(shui)(shui)又西(xi)北(bei)歷谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu),引(yin)控群流(liu),北(bei)注(zhu)(zhu)渭(wei)水(shui)(shui)。渭(wei)水(shui)(shui)又東歷大利……屈而(er)東徑伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)城南,謂(wei)(wei)之(zhi)伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)川。蓋李耳西(xi)入(ru)(ru),往(wang)(wang)徑所由(you),故(gu)(gu)(gu)山(shan)原畎谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu),往(wang)(wang)往(wang)(wang)播(bo)其名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)焉。”可(ke)見,老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)經(jing)(jing)伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)入(ru)(ru)隴(long)的(de)(de)(de)(de)故(gu)(gu)(gu)事在(zai)北(bei)魏時(shi)期還很盛傳,于是(shi)北(bei)魏置縣之(zhi)時(shi)就將這(zhe)(zhe)一區(qu)域(yu)設立的(de)(de)(de)(de)新縣定名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)“伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)”,準其地(di)(di)(di)望(wang)在(zai)今(jin)天水(shui)(shui)麥(mai)積(ji)區(qu)伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)鎮一帶。《水(shui)(shui)經(jing)(jing)注(zhu)(zhu)》作者(zhe)北(bei)魏酈道(dao)(dao)元的(de)(de)(de)(de)祖(zu)父酈嵩做過天水(shui)(shui)太守(shou),因(yin)此對本區(qu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)注(zhu)(zhu)解(jie)應(ying)該準確。1986年在(zai)天水(shui)(shui)北(bei)道(dao)(dao)(麥(mai)積(ji))區(qu)放(fang)馬(ma)灘出土了戰(zhan)國時(shi)期的(de)(de)(de)(de)七幅木板地(di)(di)(di)圖(tu)(tu),這(zhe)(zhe)是(shi)世界上最早的(de)(de)(de)(de)實(shi)物(wu)地(di)(di)(di)圖(tu)(tu),經(jing)(jing)學(xue)者(zhe)研究(jiu),七幅圖(tu)(tu)拼接成一幅大圖(tu)(tu),是(shi)邽縣為(wei)中(zhong)心(xin)(xin)的(de)(de)(de)(de)政區(qu)圖(tu)(tu)和交通物(wu)產圖(tu)(tu)。而(er)這(zhe)(zhe)幅圖(tu)(tu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)中(zhong)心(xin)(xin)區(qu)域(yu)正(zheng)好(hao)是(shi)今(jin)天水(shui)(shui)市(shi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)秦州、麥(mai)積(ji)兩區(qu)。此圖(tu)(tu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)文(wen)字注(zhu)(zhu)記(ji)中(zhong)有虎(hu)(hu)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)、虎(hu)(hu)溪、苦(ku)(ku)(ku)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)、苦(ku)(ku)(ku)史(shi)、廣(guang)堂史(shi)等地(di)(di)(di)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)。而(er)“苦(ku)(ku)(ku)”“虎(hu)(hu)”一音之(zhi)轉,“苦(ku)(ku)(ku)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)”“苦(ku)(ku)(ku)史(shi)”亦即“虎(hu)(hu)谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu)”“虎(hu)(hu)史(shi)”;又老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)曾任“周守(shou)藏(zang)之(zhi)史(shi)”“廣(guang)堂史(shi)”之(zhi)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)當由(you)此而(er)起。老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)故(gu)(gu)(gu)鄉是(shi)“苦(ku)(ku)(ku)縣”,此“苦(ku)(ku)(ku)”正(zheng)好(hao)印證了木板地(di)(di)(di)圖(tu)(tu)上標示的(de)(de)(de)(de)“苦(ku)(ku)(ku)”。這(zhe)(zhe)些地(di)(di)(di)名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)千百年來一直沿襲,這(zhe)(zhe)正(zheng)是(shi)對《水(shui)(shui)經(jing)(jing)注(zhu)(zhu)》記(ji)述伯(bo)(bo)(bo)(bo)陽(yang)(yang)(yang)時(shi)所言“蓋李耳西(xi)入(ru)(ru),往(wang)(wang)徑所由(you),故(gu)(gu)(gu)山(shan)原畎谷(gu)(gu)(gu)(gu),往(wang)(wang)往(wang)(wang)播(bo)其名(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)(ming)焉”的(de)(de)(de)(de)古(gu)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)實(shi)證。
老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)之(zhi)(zhi)所以歸隱秦(qin)隴(long)(long)之(zhi)(zhi)地(di),主(zhu)要是秦(qin)人(ren)長期和(he)戎(rong)族相處(chu)(chu),民(min)風(feng)淳(chun)樸而率(lv)直,這很符合老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)“小國寡民(min)”思(si)想(xiang)。《漢書·地(di)理志》載:“天水、隴(long)(long)西……酒禮之(zhi)(zhi)會(hui),上(shang)下通(tong)焉,吏民(min)相親(qin)……少盜賊,有(you)和(he)氣之(zhi)(zhi)應,賢(xian)于內(nei)郡。”后(hou)老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)沿(yan)渭(wei)水西行(xing)經隴(long)(long)西、渭(wei)源到臨(lin)洮(tao)后(hou)一直往西行(xing),后(hou)又返回臨(lin)洮(tao)。隋煬帝《西征·過渭(wei)源》:“長林嘯白獸,云徑想(xiang)青牛。”這里的(de)“青牛”代指老(lao)(lao)君,相傳老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)沿(yan)渭(wei)水騎(qi)青牛西行(xing),后(hou)逝世(shi)于秦(qin)地(di)。《莊子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)·養生主(zhu)》有(you):“老(lao)(lao)聃死,秦(qin)失吊之(zhi)(zhi),三號而出(chu)。”“失”(或曰佚)為(wei)老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)生前好友,秦(qin)為(wei)隴(long)(long)上(shang),可見,老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)不僅(jin)入(ru)隴(long)(long),且終老(lao)(lao)于隴(long)(long)上(shang)。今臨(lin)洮(tao)岳麓山“鳳臺”,相傳為(wei)老(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)飛升(sheng)處(chu)(chu)。先秦(qin)時(shi)期本區的(de)原住民(min)氐羌后(hou)裔(yi),今生活在四川阿壩等地(di)的(de)羌民(min)對老(lao)(lao)君極為(wei)尊崇(chong),其民(min)俗信(xin)仰和(he)道教也有(you)很深(shen)厚的(de)歷史淵源。
老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)所主張的(de)(de)順應自(zi)然、清(qing)(qing)凈無(wu)為(wei)直接影(ying)響了道(dao)教(jiao)(jiao)的(de)(de)崇神(shen)信仰,“太上老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)”實(shi)際上就(jiu)是對老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)的(de)(de)宗(zong)教(jiao)(jiao)深化形象。東漢(han)張陵(ling)《老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)想爾注》曰:“一(yi)(道(dao))散形為(wei)氣(qi)(qi),聚形為(wei)太上老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)。”《魏書·釋老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)志》載(zai):“道(dao)家之源,出(chu)于老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)。其(qi)自(zi)言也,先天地生,以資(zi)萬類。上處玉京(jing),為(wei)神(shen)王之宗(zong);下在紫(zi)微,為(wei)飛仙之主。”可(ke)見,老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)在道(dao)教(jiao)(jiao)中是至尊和(he)人格之神(shen)。隴(long)中鄉間(jian)村(cun)莊,普遍建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)有老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)廟(俗稱(cheng)(cheng)天爺堂)以祀(si)奉。據史(shi)載(zai),老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山道(dao)觀(guan)始(shi)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)于漢(han)末,后歷(li)代(dai)均有修葺。北宋(song)仁宗(zong)年(nian)間(jian)重建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)后,形成(cheng)較(jiao)大規(gui)模(mo)。老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)廟氣(qi)(qi)勢非(fei)凡(fan),為(wei)一(yi)時頗(po)負盛名(ming)的(de)(de)道(dao)場,元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)代(dai)重建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)八卦(gua)亭、三清(qing)(qing)殿、靈祖殿、三元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)殿、觀(guan)音殿等(deng)。明洪武(wu)年(nian)間(jian)又有增建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian),憾惜明崇禎(zhen)十(shi)七年(nian)(公元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)1644年(nian))大部分建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)筑毀(hui)于火災。清(qing)(qing)乾(qian)隆二十(shi)五(wu)(wu)年(nian)(公元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)1760年(nian))又修,道(dao)光(guang)十(shi)五(wu)(wu)年(nian)(公元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)1835年(nian))再修,漸成(cheng)隴(long)中著(zhu)名(ming)道(dao)觀(guan)。山上有一(yi)巨石形如(ru)龜(gui)(gui)背,頭尾皆具(ju),人稱(cheng)(cheng)“靈龜(gui)(gui)石”,又叫(jiao)“如(ru)意(yi)(yi)墩、臥虎墩”。石上可(ke)坐數(shu)十(shi)人,相傳老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)在此講經。現民間(jian)仍有“石上一(yi)坐可(ke)壽百歲(sui),接福納祥一(yi)生如(ru)意(yi)(yi)”的(de)(de)說法。每年(nian)農歷(li)二月十(shi)五(wu)(wu)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)圣誕,武(wu)山老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)山都(dou)要(yao)(yao)舉(ju)行盛大的(de)(de)祈福法會,其(qi)中最(zui)重要(yao)(yao)的(de)(de)科儀是打(da)平(ping)安醮(jiao),俗稱(cheng)(cheng)“打(da)醮(jiao)”,冀求(qiu)老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)君(jun)(jun)護佑驅除疫癘(li)災害、年(nian)成(cheng)豐(feng)收、合境平(ping)安。這樣繁(fan)榮興盛的(de)(de)民間(jian)信仰,顯然是深受老(lao)(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)西行的(de)(de)影(ying)響。
