超越“書籍史”的探索——《中國古代文獻文化史》編著記

  中(zhong)(zhong)華(hua)民(min)族(zu)有著(zhu)(zhu)五千年(nian)悠久而燦爛的(de)(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)明,綿(mian)延至今,從(cong)未(wei)斷絕。浩(hao)如煙海、形(xing)式多樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)古代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻,在中(zhong)(zhong)華(hua)文(wen)(wen)(wen)明傳承過(guo)程(cheng)中(zhong)(zhong)發(fa)揮了重要的(de)(de)(de)(de)作用(yong),它(ta)們是文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)的(de)(de)(de)(de)載(zai)體,承載(zai)著(zhu)(zhu)歷史(shi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)記憶(yi),生生不息,成為(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)華(hua)文(wen)(wen)(wen)明一大特色。十卷本(ben)的(de)(de)(de)(de)《中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)古代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)》,就是以文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻為(wei)切入(ru)點(dian)研(yan)(yan)究文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua),從(cong)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)視角(jiao)來研(yan)(yan)究文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻,前者強調文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)研(yan)(yan)究的(de)(de)(de)(de)實證(zheng)基(ji)礎,后者突(tu)出文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻研(yan)(yan)究的(de)(de)(de)(de)宏觀視野,對于認識中(zhong)(zhong)華(hua)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)的(de)(de)(de)(de)形(xing)成過(guo)程(cheng)及(ji)其特點(dian),認識中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)古代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻的(de)(de)(de)(de)發(fa)展變化(hua)(hua)及(ji)其文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)價值,這一研(yan)(yan)究的(de)(de)(de)(de)意義是顯而易見的(de)(de)(de)(de)。

  縱觀五(wu)千年(nian)中華文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)明史(shi)(shi),造(zao)紙術(shu)與印刷(shua)(shua)術(shu)的(de)(de)發明,早(zao)已(yi)被公認是推動人類(lei)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)明重(zhong)大跨越的(de)(de)不朽貢(gong)獻(xian)(xian)。實(shi)際(ji)上,早(zao)在造(zao)紙術(shu)和印刷(shua)(shua)術(shu)發明之前,中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)(gu)(gu)代(dai)就(jiu)有了(le)(le)(le)甲骨(gu)契刻、簡(jian)帛(bo)書(shu)寫(xie)、金石鐫刻等(deng)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)生產方式(shi),開創了(le)(le)(le)源遠流(liu)長的(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)字書(shu)寫(xie)傳(chuan)統,也確(que)立了(le)(le)(le)堅實(shi)深厚的(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)歷史(shi)(shi)傳(chuan)統。《尚書(shu)·多士》最(zui)早(zao)用文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)字記載確(que)認了(le)(le)(le)這一(yi)傳(chuan)統:“惟殷先人,有冊(ce)有典(dian)。”這個傳(chuan)統一(yi)方面(mian)(mian)體現在中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)(gu)(gu)代(dai)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)數量極夥,以現存(cun)古(gu)(gu)(gu)籍文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(不包括出土(tu)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian))而言,即不下(xia)二(er)十萬種(zhong)。另一(yi)方面(mian)(mian),中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)(gu)(gu)代(dai)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)類(lei)型十分(fen)豐富(fu),除書(shu)本外,文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)書(shu)、卷子、檔(dang)案、信札、石刻、契約(yue)、賬冊(ce)、書(shu)畫等(deng)不一(yi)而足(zu)。中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)(gu)(gu)代(dai)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)在書(shu)寫(xie)、制作(zuo)、印刷(shua)(shua)與流(liu)通等(deng)方面(mian)(mian)取得了(le)(le)(le)很高(gao)的(de)(de)成就(jiu),作(zuo)出了(le)(le)(le)巨大的(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)貢(gong)獻(xian)(xian),吸引后人對(dui)中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)(gu)(gu)代(dai)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)史(shi)(shi)展(zhan)開全面(mian)(mian)而深入的(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)研究(jiu),同時也為這種(zhong)研究(jiu)奠定(ding)了(le)(le)(le)堅實(shi)的(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)基礎。

  1.文獻是人與物的交集

  從文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)(de)角度來看,文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)既是(shi)(shi)(shi)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)的(de)(de)(de)重(zhong)要載(zai)體,也(ye)(ye)(ye)是(shi)(shi)(shi)突出的(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)(shi)現(xian)象,具有(you)重(zhong)要的(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)(shi)研究價值。狹義的(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)一(yi)(yi)(yi)般指(zhi)書籍或(huo)有(you)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)字、圖像的(de)(de)(de)載(zai)體,廣(guang)義的(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)外延較廣(guang),包括一(yi)(yi)(yi)切人類符號載(zai)體。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)是(shi)(shi)(shi)思想(xiang)知識的(de)(de)(de)載(zai)體,其根本屬(shu)性是(shi)(shi)(shi)“精神”與“物質(zhi)”的(de)(de)(de)結合。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)的(de)(de)(de)這一(yi)(yi)(yi)屬(shu)性決定了它(ta)本身(shen)(shen)也(ye)(ye)(ye)是(shi)(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)種重(zhong)要的(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)現(xian)象,不(bu)僅以自身(shen)(shen)的(de)(de)(de)內容記(ji)載(zai)傳承文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua),而且(qie)以自身(shen)(shen)的(de)(de)(de)物質(zhi)形式嵌(qian)入(ru)廣(guang)義的(de)(de)(de)文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)(shi)架(jia)構之(zhi)中。據《論語(yu)·八佾》記(ji)載(zai),孔(kong)子最早使用“文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)”一(yi)(yi)(yi)詞(ci),他說:“夏禮吾能言(yan)之(zhi),杞不(bu)足(zu)征(zheng)也(ye)(ye)(ye);殷禮吾能言(yan)之(zhi),宋(song)(song)不(bu)足(zu)征(zheng)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)不(bu)足(zu)故(gu)也(ye)(ye)(ye),足(zu)則吾能征(zheng)之(zhi)矣(yi)。”宋(song)(song)代大儒朱熹在《論語(yu)集注》中解釋(shi)“文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)”這個詞(ci),明確指(zhi)出:“文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen),典(dian)籍也(ye)(ye)(ye)。獻(xian)(xian),賢也(ye)(ye)(ye)。言(yan)二代之(zhi)禮我能言(yan)之(zhi),而二國不(bu)足(zu)取以為證,以其文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)不(bu)足(zu)故(gu)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)若足(zu),則我能取之(zhi)以證吾言(yan)矣(yi)。”這是(shi)(shi)(shi)“文(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)”一(yi)(yi)(yi)詞(ci)的(de)(de)(de)經典(dian)解釋(shi)。

  在(zai)這個話(hua)語體系中,“文(wen)獻(xian)”包(bao)括典籍(ji)與賢(xian)人(ren)(ren)兩個方面。典籍(ji)是記(ji)錄文(wen)化的(de)(de)載體,賢(xian)人(ren)(ren)是傳承(cheng)文(wen)化的(de)(de)主體,典籍(ji)與賢(xian)人(ren)(ren)亦即物與人(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)深刻交(jiao)(jiao)集,恰(qia)切的(de)(de)揭示(shi)了文(wen)獻(xian)的(de)(de)文(wen)化本質。環繞著文(wen)獻(xian)的(de)(de)制作、生產(chan)、衍生、閱讀、聚(ju)散、流通、使用等過程(cheng),各種社會群體與歷史(shi)(shi)力(li)量參與其間,縱橫(heng)交(jiao)(jiao)錯(cuo),在(zai)文(wen)化與文(wen)獻(xian)之間形成無數(shu)交(jiao)(jiao)叉聯結之點。經由這些聯結點,既可(ke)以看到被(bei)文(wen)化史(shi)(shi)所塑造的(de)(de)文(wen)獻(xian)現象,也可(ke)以看到被(bei)文(wen)獻(xian)史(shi)(shi)所凸顯的(de)(de)文(wen)化特性。這正是中國古代文(wen)獻(xian)文(wen)化史(shi)(shi)研究首(shou)要(yao)著力(li)的(de)(de)方向(xiang)。

  中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)西學(xue)(xue)(xue)術(shu)傳統都很重視(shi)對(dui)于文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)本(ben)身的研(yan)(yan)究(jiu)(jiu),由此產(chan)生了(le)(le)目錄學(xue)(xue)(xue)、版(ban)本(ben)學(xue)(xue)(xue)、校(xiao)勘學(xue)(xue)(xue)、書(shu)(shu)志學(xue)(xue)(xue)、藏書(shu)(shu)學(xue)(xue)(xue)等文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)學(xue)(xue)(xue)相關學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke),圖書(shu)(shu)館(guan)學(xue)(xue)(xue)、金(jin)石(shi)學(xue)(xue)(xue)、歷(li)(li)史(shi)文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)學(xue)(xue)(xue)等學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)也經常涉及對(dui)古代文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)的研(yan)(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)。涵蓋校(xiao)勘學(xue)(xue)(xue)、目錄學(xue)(xue)(xue)、版(ban)本(ben)學(xue)(xue)(xue)和典(dian)藏學(xue)(xue)(xue)等學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)的中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)古典(dian)文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)學(xue)(xue)(xue),歷(li)(li)來以整理圖書(shu)(shu)為(wei)己任,尤重考鏡源流、辨(bian)章學(xue)(xue)(xue)術(shu),為(wei)往圣繼絕學(xue)(xue)(xue),表現出(chu)強烈(lie)的延續文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)學(xue)(xue)(xue)術(shu)的歷(li)(li)史(shi)使(shi)命感。具體而言,校(xiao)勘學(xue)(xue)(xue)揭(jie)示了(le)(le)古代書(shu)(shu)寫與傳播的方式與特點;目錄學(xue)(xue)(xue)揭(jie)示了(le)(le)文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)的社(she)會(hui)(hui)文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)背景與學(xue)(xue)(xue)術(shu)思(si)想(xiang)源流;版(ban)本(ben)學(xue)(xue)(xue)揭(jie)示了(le)(le)文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)的物質文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)形態;典(dian)藏學(xue)(xue)(xue)揭(jie)示了(le)(le)文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)聚散傳承的軌(gui)跡及其社(she)會(hui)(hui)文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)因緣。它們都為(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)古代文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)研(yan)(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)提供了(le)(le)寶貴的學(xue)(xue)(xue)術(shu)文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)資(zi)源,其中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)所蘊含的文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)自覺(jue)和歷(li)(li)史(shi)意(yi)識(shi),更為(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)古代文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)史(shi)研(yan)(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)提供了(le)(le)重要的思(si)想(xiang)文(wen)(wen)化(hua)(hua)資(zi)源。

  隨著(zhu)20世紀(ji)初中(zhong)國(guo)學術現代(dai)化的發軔(ren),中(zhong)國(guo)古(gu)(gu)典(dian)(dian)文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻研(yan)究(jiu)中(zhong)的文(wen)(wen)(wen)化自覺(jue)更(geng)加(jia)明顯,其(qi)代(dai)表(biao)作(zuo)有(you)王國(guo)維(wei)《簡牘檢署考(kao)》、孫(sun)德謙《漢書(shu)藝文(wen)(wen)(wen)志舉例》《劉向校(xiao)讎學纂微》、陳登原《古(gu)(gu)今典(dian)(dian)籍聚散(san)考(kao)》、余嘉錫(xi)《古(gu)(gu)書(shu)通例》等。其(qi)后(hou)又有(you)劉國(guo)鈞(jun)《中(zhong)國(guo)書(shu)史(shi)簡編(bian)》、張秀(xiu)民《中(zhong)國(guo)印(yin)刷術的發明及其(qi)影響》等,它們(men)帶動了一大批關于(yu)書(shu)史(shi)、印(yin)刷史(shi)的研(yan)究(jiu),但此(ci)類(lei)研(yan)究(jiu)仍(reng)然偏重于(yu)書(shu)籍物質形態本(ben)身,對文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻的文(wen)(wen)(wen)化史(shi)意義(yi)的抉發不(bu)夠深廣,還談不(bu)上系統的中(zhong)國(guo)古(gu)(gu)代(dai)文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻文(wen)(wen)(wen)化史(shi)研(yan)究(jiu)。

  2.“書籍史”的文化觀照及其不足

  自20世(shi)紀西方(fang)新(xin)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)學(xue)誕(dan)生(sheng)以(yi)來,特(te)(te)別(bie)是(shi)社(she)會(hui)(hui)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)、文化(hua)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)觀(guan)照(zhao)視角(jiao)興起以(yi)后,開始出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)現以(yi)社(she)會(hui)(hui)、經(jing)濟、文化(hua)取代(dai)(dai)傳統歷(li)(li)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)編纂學(xue)敘事關注的(de)(de)傾向(xiang)。文獻,特(te)(te)別(bie)是(shi)書(shu)籍印(yin)(yin)刷成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)被關注的(de)(de)熱點之一(yi),書(shu)籍史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)研究(jiu)(jiu)于是(shi)應運(yun)(yun)而生(sheng)。1958年,法國(guo)年鑒學(xue)派史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)學(xue)家費夫賀與馬爾(er)坦出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)版(ban)了《印(yin)(yin)刷書(shu)的(de)(de)誕(dan)生(sheng)》,從(cong)(cong)宏(hong)觀(guan)角(jiao)度(du)解答(da)印(yin)(yin)刷術發明對整個歐(ou)洲歷(li)(li)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)深遠影(ying)響,為(wei)(wei)書(shu)籍史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)研究(jiu)(jiu)導夫先路。20世(shi)紀中期以(yi)后,廣義歷(li)(li)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)研究(jiu)(jiu)的(de)(de)“文化(hua)轉向(xiang)”進(jin)一(yi)步明顯,圖(tu)書(shu)的(de)(de)閱讀(du)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)、接受傳播史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)、商品(pin)貿易史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),特(te)(te)別(bie)是(shi)圖(tu)書(shu)對社(she)會(hui)(hui)文化(hua)影(ying)響的(de)(de)研究(jiu)(jiu)成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)種重要的(de)(de)學(xue)術思(si)潮(chao),其(qi)代(dai)(dai)表作是(shi)美國(guo)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)學(xue)家達(da)恩頓(dun)所著《啟蒙(meng)運(yun)(yun)動(dong)的(de)(de)生(sheng)意(yi):〈百科全書(shu)〉出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)版(ban)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(1775-1800)》,以(yi)18世(shi)紀狄(di)德羅《百科全書(shu)》為(wei)(wei)個案,從(cong)(cong)出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)版(ban)過程(cheng)及(ji)其(qi)流通角(jiao)度(du),探討(tao)圖(tu)書(shu)出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)版(ban)與啟蒙(meng)運(yun)(yun)動(dong)的(de)(de)互(hu)動(dong)歷(li)(li)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)。其(qi)突出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)貢獻在(zai)于提(ti)出(chu)(chu)(chu)(chu)了“書(shu)的(de)(de)歷(li)(li)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)”的(de)(de)重要價值,將書(shu)籍的(de)(de)傳播過程(cheng)視為(wei)(wei)理(li)解思(si)想、社(she)會(hui)(hui)以(yi)及(ji)歷(li)(li)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)最佳(jia)途(tu)徑及(ji)策(ce)略。

  簡而(er)言之,西方學者的(de)(de)(de)(de)這些(xie)“書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)史(shi)(shi)”研(yan)究,不同于圖(tu)書(shu)(shu)(shu)館(guan)學、目(mu)錄學和版(ban)本學意(yi)義上的(de)(de)(de)(de)“圖(tu)書(shu)(shu)(shu)史(shi)(shi)”,它是一種文(wen)化史(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)觀照,其核心是將書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)理解為(wei)文(wen)化歷史(shi)(shi)中的(de)(de)(de)(de)一股力(li)量(liang)。書(shu)(shu)(shu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)制作(zuo)情形如(ru)何,由誰制作(zuo),為(wei)誰制作(zuo),作(zuo)者與出版(ban)商之間的(de)(de)(de)(de)關系(xi)為(wei)何,國家意(yi)識形態如(ru)何影(ying)響(xiang)(xiang)書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)的(de)(de)(de)(de)出版(ban),思想理念(nian)又如(ru)何通過書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)而(er)傳播(bo),書(shu)(shu)(shu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)價(jia)格與書(shu)(shu)(shu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)貿易情況如(ru)何,書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)的(de)(de)(de)(de)傳播(bo)與接受的(de)(de)(de)(de)社會(hui)效(xiao)果如(ru)何,讀者的(de)(de)(de)(de)閱讀能(neng)力(li)與參與性怎(zen)樣,國家文(wen)化當(dang)局的(de)(de)(de)(de)權威及(ji)其影(ying)響(xiang)(xiang)力(li)如(ru)何等等。這些(xie)問(wen)題意(yi)識的(de)(de)(de)(de)產生,使二(er)十(shi)世紀六(liu)七十(shi)年代以來的(de)(de)(de)(de)當(dang)代書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)史(shi)(shi)研(yan)究開(kai)始(shi)超越傳統的(de)(de)(de)(de)文(wen)獻學研(yan)究,并(bing)成為(wei)一個(ge)專門學科。這一學科的(de)(de)(de)(de)內涵是:在文(wen)獻書(shu)(shu)(shu)籍(ji)(ji)存在的(de)(de)(de)(de)長久時段(duan)內,用(yong)最(zui)廣泛(fan)、最(zui)完(wan)整的(de)(de)(de)(de)視角來看待它,探(tan)究其社會(hui)功用(yong)、相應的(de)(de)(de)(de)經濟和政治(zhi)利益、相關的(de)(de)(de)(de)文(wen)化實踐與影(ying)響(xiang)(xiang)等等。

  西方學(xue)(xue)者(zhe)運(yun)用西方書(shu)籍史(shi)的(de)視角(jiao),研究中(zhong)國古代(dai)(dai)文獻與社(she)會文化歷(li)史(shi)的(de)關系,產生了一系列(lie)富有價值的(de)成果,也在(zai)一定程(cheng)度(du)上推動了中(zhong)國本土學(xue)(xue)者(zhe)在(zai)書(shu)籍史(shi)方面的(de)探索(suo)。但西方學(xue)(xue)者(zhe)主(zhu)要(yao)關注近世以來的(de)書(shu)籍與印刷,對其他(ta)時代(dai)(dai)其他(ta)形態的(de)文獻關注不足,亦較少(shao)利用中(zhong)國傳統文獻學(xue)(xue)中(zhong)的(de)學(xue)(xue)術資(zi)源。結(jie)合中(zhong)西學(xue)(xue)術積(ji)累進行中(zhong)國古代(dai)(dai)文獻文化史(shi)研究,是一個極富意(yi)義并具(ju)有廣闊發展前景的(de)學(xue)(xue)科方向。

  3.確立“中國古代文獻文化史”的研究方向

  “十年(nian)磨一劍,霜刃未曾試(shi)。”經過十二年(nian)的辛勤耕耘,十卷本《中國古(gu)(gu)代文(wen)獻(xian)文(wen)化(hua)史(shi)》終告(gao)完成(cheng)。研(yan)究團(tuan)隊及(ji)其依(yi)托的南京(jing)大(da)學中國古(gu)(gu)代文(wen)學和古(gu)(gu)典文(wen)獻(xian)學學科(ke)群體(ti),在古(gu)(gu)典文(wen)獻(xian)學、域外(wai)漢籍研(yan)究、古(gu)(gu)代文(wen)化(hua)史(shi)研(yan)究等領域已(yi)有較豐(feng)厚的學術積累,也較早開(kai)始了中國古(gu)(gu)代文(wen)獻(xian)文(wen)化(hua)史(shi)的研(yan)究探索。

  《中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)》把(ba)文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)理解為中國(guo)(guo)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)中的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)一股(gu)重(zhong)要(yao)力量,探尋這股(gu)力量如何發生作用、具有怎樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)意義(yi),以及如何形塑(su)了中國(guo)(guo)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)傳統(tong)。其(qi)(qi)總體(ti)特(te)色主要(yao)體(ti)現在如下三個(ge)方面:第(di)一,結構體(ti)系上(shang),以問(wen)題(ti)為中心,以歷史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)發展為線索,對文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)進(jin)行全面而(er)系統(tong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)觀照。全書的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)總體(ti)框架大(da)致以李約瑟《中國(guo)(guo)科學技術史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)》為榜樣,緒(xu)論(lun)與(yu)專論(lun)相結合,既(ji)重(zhong)視(shi)(shi)各卷之間(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)連(lian)續性(xing)和(he)整體(ti)性(xing),也突出(chu)(chu)各自的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)專題(ti)性(xing)和(he)獨特(te)性(xing)。每個(ge)子(zi)課題(ti)都設立核心焦點(dian),從各自不同的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)角(jiao)(jiao)度(du)切(qie)入,追求論(lun)述(shu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)深(shen)(shen)度(du)和(he)視(shi)(shi)角(jiao)(jiao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)創(chuang)新。第(di)二,具體(ti)操作上(shang),簡牘時(shi)代、寫本時(shi)代與(yu)印(yin)本時(shi)代并重(zhong),在繼續深(shen)(shen)入進(jin)行明(ming)清書籍(ji)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)研究的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)同時(shi),顯(xian)著填補宋以前文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)空(kong)白;在突出(chu)(chu)其(qi)(qi)歷史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)階(jie)段性(xing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)同時(shi),突出(chu)(chu)中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)形態多樣性(xing),動(dong)態把(ba)握其(qi)(qi)歷史(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)進(jin)程,特(te)別(bie)重(zhong)視(shi)(shi)中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)外傳對東亞(ya)漢文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)圈形成的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)意義(yi)。第(di)三,理論(lun)方法上(shang),從原(yuan)始文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)出(chu)(chu)發,傳世(shi)文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)與(yu)出(chu)(chu)土(tu)文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)兼收(shou),文(wen)(wen)(wen)字材料與(yu)圖像資料參證,考據與(yu)義(yi)理并重(zhong),總結中國(guo)(guo)古(gu)代文(wen)(wen)(wen)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)民族特(te)色,彰顯(xian)其(qi)(qi)對人類文(wen)(wen)(wen)化(hua)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)貢(gong)獻(xian)(xian)(xian)。

  相對于浩瀚的中國古(gu)代文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)文(wen)(wen)化史(shi)研究(jiu)領域(yu),十(shi)卷本《中國古(gu)代文(wen)(wen)獻(xian)文(wen)(wen)化史(shi)》只是揚帆初航(hang)而(er)已,“路漫漫其(qi)修遠兮,吾將上下(xia)而(er)求索。”
